Have you ever awakened from a dream and realized how crazy it was, then when you got up and going, it completely evaporated yet you still had a “feeling” that carried over from the dream — lingering like an old memory you couldn’t quite grasp?
Dreams are the realm of the subconscious. Through pictures and symbols, activities and scenes play out in our sleeping state. Sometimes they can be wild and fast, going from place to place seeing familiar and unfamiliar faces in various scenarios. Other times it can feel like one movie with a clear objective throughout. If you’re feeling more active in the dream state than usual, you can thank the dancing cosmos in space and the dimensional frequencies here on Earth pinging us humans with a symphony of communications. Messages are coming in many forms. Notice those synchronicities and omens - they offer subtle guidance at all times. Pay attention to the nature of your dreams and if you can, jot down what you remember first thing in the morning, an overview is fine. See if any patterns emerge over time.
What about the other type of dreams? Dreams for your life? Dreams for the world? Do you have an inner purpose to fulfill or a higher calling? When you think about how you want your life to go, what do you see? Imagine it. Are there certain things you want to accomplish in this lifetime that you think if you don’t, you’ll have failed?
These are the kinds of things I’ve been researching, thinking, talking, and writing about for years. I am constantly wondering and discerning what is current me, old me, and the dreaded ‘saboteur’ me. I’m taking time to let creativity flow instead of pushing or worrying about what hasn’t happened yet. It took my whole life to get here, and while I know there is much more I want to do, it’s not about the timeline anymore. It’s about the doing, the feeling, the purpose of my existence. It’s not about Achievement for Achievement’s sake. I can adapt my plans as needed. Adaptability is key!
Gemini Season (May 21-June 21) is asking us to be curious and to learn from the cosmos — how to receive and give communication, how to articulate what we want to bring to the world, how to create our own mission statement (as it were). Gemini is the sign of intellect, learning, thinking, reading, writing. If you had a mission statement, what would it be? This is the best time to give it a go if you feel like writing something!
Right now we are all going “through the looking glass” as it were — a la Alice in Wonderland. Meaning — we are facing some transitions and decisions regarding what we want & what we need — what we cling to that needs to be released — what we know we need but keep putting off.
If you keep having the same struggle or same challenges over and over again, the Universe is trying to tell you that you haven’t learned this lesson or changed this pattern in yourself. You have to face what you are doing, what you believe, what you feel, and determine that it does exist, acknowledge it, and then, only then, can you make a plan to adjust it.
Celestially, a combo of transits are needling the Collective all at once. Not that they ever stop, but we are in a particularly hyperactive time of change that tends to happen multi-generationally. Overarching big picture ideas are flowing to us all, but how they affect you individually depends on your unique planetary makeup.
Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto — all the outer planets (meaning they are further away from our Sun and have much longer orbits) are causing a traffic jam of energies that we cannot ignore. The inner planets — Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus (the Moon is counted as a planet in Astrology) have much shorter orbits and are always close to Earth and the Sun. We can tend to feel the inner a bit more vividly day to day, but the outer create collective and generational shifts. For instance, Venus entered Leo on June 6th and will station there until October 11th.
For about four months we will experience the planet of love, pleasure, money and our tastes in the sign of romance, entertainment, loyalty and beauty. Sounds pretty cool right? And it is, but there is always bitter with the sweet in life (if you haven’t figured that out yet) and it’s not a bad thing, it’s all part of the harmony of existence!
Jupiter in Taurus until May 26, 2024
Jupiter moved into Taurus a couple of weeks ago and will visit there a year. This is an opportune placement because Jupiter, the planet of expansion and luck is in the sign of Taurus (ruled by Venus) which is about embodiment, our values, spirituality, money, music, and sensuality. We are getting a shot of adrenaline in those areas, collectively, so it’s a nice window for utilizing the good juju of Jupiter by being respectful of your body (your temple), your finances, what/who you love, taking your time instead of rushing, and enjoying life with a sense of purpose. Jupiter is here to expand what matters most to you!
Saturn in Pisces until February 15, 2026
Saturn spends about 2-2.5 years in every sign. This regular interval gives us all a chance to take stock of where we are in the particular area Saturn is highlighting. Saturn is all about rules, discipline and “righting the ship” when we get off course. Saturn does not play — no sugar coating, no participation trophy — you only get rewarded with hard work and staying the course. Thankfully, it only spends two years in a sign! Since it is in sensitive, imaginative, dreamy and mystical Pisces, we are being asked to face our beliefs, to open our minds and hearts to new realities, to test our rigid boundaries. Let your imagination be your guide, pay attention to dreams, believe in what cannot be seen, have faith in a deeper divinity to our existence.
Uranus in Taurus until April 27, 2026 (with a brief dip into Gemini from July - November 2025). It’s been here since March of 2019. Ah dear eccentric, highly innovative Uranus - you rebel you - hanging out in Taurus. What an interesting place for you! Where you like to go super fast, Taurus says — hold up, I need time to think about this. I won’t be rushed! Uranus got here four years ago and has another two years to go in the sign of finance, values, and physical reality. We are seeing upheavals in the areas of money, personal values, religion, politics — ultimately to disrupt and dissolve what no longer works (the status quo) to make way for unconventional solutions as the human race moves into an uncertain future.
Neptune in Pisces until March 31, 2025 (has been there since February 4, 2012)
A generational planet, this dreamy ruler of Pisces has been in its home for a decade now, with nearly two more years to go. Neptune in Pisces is like a mother having her child home. It feels right, but that doesn’t mean some rules aren’t going to be established. Pisces is boundless, as in — fluid and has no boundary — and Neptune is parent to Pisces who passed down these attributes — sign of water, deepest depths of spirit, disembodied and prefers it that way, imaginative to the point of making up new worlds. Pisces is the archetype of mysticism, spiritual evolution, limitless imagination and creativity, as well as secrets and hidden truths (and even lies). You can easily see how this past decade has been filled with secrets, a lack of boundaries, wildly imaginative concepts (both destructive and constructive), a cloudiness around what IS and what IS NOT, confusion of truth, and creative manipulation. But also, there has been a greater interest and engagement with ancient spiritual traditions and teachings including Kabbalah, Buddhism, Shamanism, Esotericism, Astrology, Tarot, Metaphysics, and all things woo and witchy. Many people have pulled away from traditional religions — plenty of articles have been written on the declining numbers in conventional churches nowadays. People want deeper connection with Spirit rather than dogma. There are infinite pathways to Enlightenment, to God, to Knowing What We Are.
Pluto in Aquarius until March 10, 2043 (with a brief 15 months retrograding back into Capricorn from June 8th, 2023 until finally planting it in Aquarius on November 21, 2024). That’s 20 years of Pluto in Aquarius, y’all!
Pluto, the planet of death, rebirth and transformation, is the farthest planet from the Sun (you can see it way out there on the last ring) and it rules Scorpio. Astrology does not subscribe to the notion that scientists have downsized Pluto’s title from “planet” to “dwarf-planet.” It has quite an impact on Earth, even with its centuries-long orbit. Pluto is multi-generational because it takes 248 years to orbit the Sun. You may recall a bunch of chatter online a few years back about how the last time Pluto was in Capricorn (which it was all during the Pandemic and as far back the 2008 financial crisis) was during the American Revolution. Major transformation, death and rebirth was taking place then, history agrees. Now it is the time of Aquarius — I’m sure you’ve heard endless speculation that we are on the “cusp” or “threshold” or already in the Age of Aquarius. We are there, and this is yet another confirmation because Pluto’s planetary cycle will affect the entire world. Aquarius is the sign of the genius, the revolutionary, the truth teller, humanitarian, inventor and ultimate non-conformist. Think about the planet of transformation living in the house of revolution and community, of human evolution and technology. Where Capricorn conserves traditions and tried-and-true structures, Aquarius thinks outside the box, seeking major breakthroughs for humanity.
For another year and five months, Pluto will retrograde back into Capricorn (and dip into Aquarius and back into Capricorn, etc.). There is still some work to do with existing structures for a bit — leaving no stone unturned for the best ways in which we can transform. Rather than living in a limited, lack-minded way, we can learn how to embrace abundance for the whole, the importance of living in community and caring about all life. It will be a time of understanding what must be given up, as a Collective, in order to make gains in ways we never have before.
Fire signs, Earth signs, Air signs and Water signs will all experience this influx of outer planet activity differently. Most of the progress on the collective can’t really be seen until years have passed but the day-to-day frequency of these shifts — especially Jupiter, Saturn & Uranus — could be felt in the emotional, mental and etheric bodies. This means you may be feeling weird, emotionally vulnerable, cut-off, out of place or conversely you are feeling expansive, energetic, connected, in your element — there are so many things and much depends on your own stars. Be aware of your mental state and your emotions; notice what you are thinking and saying to yourself. Notice what you say out loud without even thinking. If it’s negative, neutralize it with a positive statement just after.
Ultimately we are being given a chance to look at our dreams and imagine new possibilities. Imagine a future where everything transforms to start anew, in ways you could never expect.
These outer planets are communicating with us, instructing us to “remember the dream” and not lose the details. We are being asked to hold onto the communications we are receiving, to listen and explore, to honor our intuition and release the need to not feel, to distract, to numb. This is not the time to fall asleep at the wheel! We are already more awake than we have been in centuries — even with all the myriad distractions around us. We are more than just organic beings that spontaneously came into consciousness. We chose to be here, our Souls are the true travelers, our bodies simply a vehicle — like a car, a ship, or a computer — something else is driving this experience and it’s time for all of us to acknowledge that.
How can you “wake up” from the current dream we are all in everyday, the true matrix of illusion that has us programmed to believe the only purpose in life is to consume? By simply being aware and acknowledging what you are feeling in any given moment, sitting with it and feeling it — instead of trying to chase away or distract. Feel everything and own it as it happens — the positive and the negative. Being embodied and self-aware is the first step in creating higher states of consciousness. You’ve heard the saying (I’ve said it for years): the only way around something is through it. Well, it’s truth.
The more you talk to yourself, turn on your inner Observer — the quieter part of you that waits for the neurotic loud voices to simmer and speaks wisdom, the part that you feel when you have a gut instinct, the part that knows when something is right or wrong for you — the more you are connected to your Soul, your true essence, your Divine Consciousness. It is always here and will never push — as I’ve said many times before — it waits for you to be still so it can download the wisdom you need in any given moment. If you never slow down long enough to receive it, you’ll keep missing it and life will continue to be a dualistic struggle between pleasure and fear.
It really starts this way. Being in touch with yourself and your feelings. Being curious about the data coming from inside — your feelings, your dreams, the little synchronicities and coincidences that happen. Noticing these things cracks open the mystery of who is driving your vehicle.
It’s you — you are driving.
New Moon in Gemini
We have a Double Gemini sky coming up over the weekend of June 17-18. Get ready for some quick-witted fun and social gregariousness! This will be a great time for writing, communicating, and learning. Make your lists, work on your book or other writing project, read on subjects that fascinate you! Remember with New Moons you plant seeds, so consider that when you write out your affirmations or wishes for the start of a new Lunar cycle. Ask for clarity to craft the most important wish that you need in your life right now. Write it out, stand under the night sky and speak it to the unseen Moon.
