What is the point of no return? If we are only in the present moment and only moving in a forward direction, wouldn’t every point be of no return? Sure, if you want to get into the minutia. But let’s pull back to the 10,000-foot view of our own lives — our most recent past and immediate future. What’s been going on these past few years?
At the 25,000-foot view we have the full course of our lives. More than the minutes, hours and days, we have the whole shebang as an overview. What do you see? What do you want to see?
Let’s go bigger, 50,000-foot view. That’s where the Collective Consciousness of Humanity can be seen in its full glory, an aura of individuated souls that live on this beautiful planet. Human entanglement with the cosmos becomes obvious. We are experiencing as well as we can in the dark, yet feeding the Light nonetheless. Go even higher — or further out — and you see hints of the Grand Design.
This is not my own metaphor. It comes from a scientist, most likely in a book by the epigeneticist, Dr. Bruce Lipton, but if not him it would be some other renowned physicist or spiritual advisor. This metaphor resonated with me and has stuck since.
This amazing Libra Full Moon represents so much. Starting with the Air sign itself, Libra is the symbol of Balance in Relationships, Fairness, Love and Peace, shown as the scales of Justice. A Full Moon is the bright light shining on our efforts, the halfway point of the Lunar Cycle where all is exposed and courses can be corrected. ♎️ ⚖️ 🌕
It’s Aries season (Aries Sun until April 20) which is Fire and all about starting, leading, charging ahead, passion, fighting for what you believe in, action. 🔥 Air feeds Fire. Together these two things represent shining a light on whatever is not working, to point out injustices and expose unpleasant truths in order to lay it all on the table. What are we willing to maintain? What are willing to discard, at any and all levels? Oppression, even the smallest ways in which we oppress ourselves — Lies, the ones we tell ourselves — Apathy, the ways in which we give up and stop trying — Rigidity, being narrow minded and unwilling to consider alternatives. Balance, what is weighing us down and what can lift us up — Justice, how have we allowed injustices to steal our energy — Relationships, how can we let go enough to connect deeply and expand our hearts — Peace, releasing judgment and opinion to allow for peace of mind and connection to others.
The symbolism is strong here with the traditions of the three Abrahamic religions. Holy Week for Christianity began on Palm Sunday (April 2) and will culminate with Easter. Passover just began (April 5) and culminates one week later. Muslims are in the middle of month-long Ramadan (began March 22). This is a Holy time of year, beginning at the Spring Equinox. 🙏 Life on Earth refreshes itself anew. This is the first Full Moon following Vernal Equinox last month (March 20) and represents a cycle of devotion, discipline, faith and reflection. This includes the secular realms of life, too, and all of Nature herself.
I recently learned (as a non-Jewish person) that Passover is always begun at the Full Moon in Libra during Aries. In fact, all Jewish holidays are aligned with the Lunar Cycles. Passover represents the freeing of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Justice prevailed, the oppressors were made to right their past wrongs. Smiled upon by God, the chosen ones for transmutation fled Egypt to create anew. For Christianity, this week represents the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, thus proving humans are eternal beings. Ramadan represents spiritual devotion and growing closer to God.
Through research and my exposure to Astrology professionals, mystics, spiritual teachers, I immerse myself in study about the ancient origins of the Universe, spiritual teachings, science and religion. It’s all enmeshed and scientists have finally opened up to this knowledge rather than discarding it. They are realistically grasping that spiritual teachings and scientific pursuits go hand in hand. What the Ancients taught humanity thousands of years ago has not all been lost, but carefully saved and passed down. We have the fundamentals.
The esoteric studies born from the minds across eons, the minds that ponder and read and study and learn the fundamental building blocks of our Consciousness then explain it in dense, voluminous works because it’s difficult for our meat brains to grasp the Greatness of what we are. I’ve always wanted to know, well, everything. How does this all work? The Universe? Consciousness? Human Life, Human Emotion, Human Everything? What are we? Why are we here? It’s super common of Sagittarius folks like myself (Sun and Rising over here) to seek knowledge in all its forms, to see understanding of processes, things, people, animals — the how, where, who, why and what of it all.
For others, that is too overwhelming to consider. They are fine to explore and master this life without regard for how it all functions. And that is totally okay! We are all wired differently and that is for good reason. We are countless, limitless expressions of the Whole, the Great Spirit, Source, Ensof.
How freaking cool is that, though? It’s inspiring to think of how unfathomably incredible this thing called Existence is. Like, whether one “believes” a thing to be true or not, real reality -aka- what’s really going on, still goes on — life, manifestation, motion, feeling — all our systems work regardless. Our input matters, to be sure, but the systems operate perpetually.
For some that is truly comforting. For others it seems unbelievable, and maybe they don’t believe it, but that isn’t the point. Life persists. Souls persist. Things that cannot be explained away…persist. Libra asks us to keep our minds open and be humbled by the fact that we don’t know everything — what we think we know could be wrong.
We are being asked to grow, to expand our concepts of what we think we know, our beliefs — and remain open to even grander possibilities.
On this Full Moon in Libra (April 5-6) and throughout this powerful weekend, which will also include a little flavor of Scorpio Moon — focus on your thresholds. What are they, is it time to cross them? Have you crossed some already?
It’s an important step of growth to allow yourself to truly see yourself and sit with reality. Then know that you have the power to create your own reality, and you have the power to affect the reality around you and that of others. Balancing the scales of Justice and Peace means doing so within yourself first, and also remembering your fellow humans and how important it is we all support each other.
Enjoy gazing at lovely Luna and remember she likes it when you communicate with her, and most of all, when you dance under her. Feel her nurturing caress, her boundless love. It’s real. She is looking back.
Blessings to you on this Spiritual Week! ✨
